Sprinter vans & classic Mercedes platforms

Lost all your Sprinter keys?

Whatever badge is on the grille — Dodge Sprinter, Freightliner Sprinter, or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter — the key system underneath has always been Mercedes-Benz engineering. We cover both the modern encrypted system and the older, harder-to-source generation.

A van off the road is lost income. We get you a working key back without a tow and without your fleet sitting idle at the dealer.

Mail-in service nationwide. On-site dispatch available throughout Knoxville, Chattanooga & East Tennessee.

Two generations, one platform

FBS3 (modern) vs. FBS1/FBS2 (classic).

Mercedes-Benz's vehicle authorization system has gone through several generations — commonly written FBS or FSB depending on the source. Which one your Sprinter (or classic Mercedes) has determines the whole approach.

FBS3 — MODERN

2007+ Sprinter (W906) & modern Mercedes

The encrypted system used on the current-generation Sprinter and most Mercedes cars since roughly 2004 — W204, W207, W212, W164, W166, W221 and related.

EIS/EZS repair from $279 · ESL emulator $450

FBS1/FBS2 — CLASSIC

First-gen Sprinter (W901-905) & classic Mercedes

The older infrared flip-key system — simpler, but the OEM key supply has largely dried up. Covers first-generation Sprinter (1995–2006) plus classic SLK, SL, A-Class, S-Class, and G-Class Mercedes, and the Chrysler Crossfire (shares the SLK platform).

Classic coverage

If your vehicle is on this list, we can help.

The classic-generation vehicles below share the same underlying key architecture as the first-generation Sprinter — the same reason OEM keys for these have become hard to find anywhere else.

Ownership verification

We check before we work.

Because this resets a vehicle's security system, every order requires the VIN, proof of ownership (registration or title), and a matching photo ID before we begin — for fleet vehicles, this can be the registered business's documentation.
